-the artists perform in a friendly and informal atmosphere,
-providing a unique and pleasurable experience.

The Society seeks to continue to present entertaining and sometimes unusual music to the Lower Blue Mountains community.

The 2011 concerts include Classical, Jazz and Pop music.

Structure

Founded in 1966, The Blue Mountains Concert Society is a non-profit community incorporated company, based on membership. The Society has over 300 members.

Members

Members subscribe to all, or at least 3 concerts in a yearly Concert Series. Members buy tickets at a discount price. Single tickets for each concert are available to non-members.
Membership is very important to the operations of the Society.

Simon TedeschiAdministration

The Society is managed by member volunteers. All members of the Society are encouraged to participate in the activities of the Society, especially the planning and preparation of each concert and each Concert Series.

Go it alone

As the Society is Concert based, the Society at present receives no grants or subsidies from Federal, State and local Governments. Competing Artist based organisations operating in Penrith and Katoomba receive Government subsidies.

The Society solely relies on the support of the Lower Blue Mountains community for its survival.

Patron

Simon Tedeschi is the patron of the Blue Mountains Concert Society. Simon with his brilliant and widely based piano talent has assisted the Society in providing top talent with unexpected brilliance, to our concert programs.
