THE FUTURE

The Blue Mountains Concert Society selects a young emerging talented local artist to perform at each concert during the Concert Series, as a curtain raiser to the main artists.

Such a performance opportunity provides a young artist with the experience of a large adult audience and the need for a professional approach. In some instances the young artist may meet with the main artists and obtain some advice. In some instances the main artists may assist the young artist with back up in presenting their musical items. It is a wonderful experience for the young artist.

The young artist is paid a small fee for their performance.

The Society encourages young talented artists to apply for a performance at a Society concert.

The Society encourages well known artists to participate in workshops with young artists at Springwood Civic Centre and attend local schools to tutor interested  children.

It is a main object of the Blue Mountains Concert Society to encourage the education of the next generation of young people in music appreciation.
